The first of this year’s Tribal Remedy Framework bills has passed the New Mexico Legislature and is headed to the Governor’s desk to be signed into law! On March 10, the Senate unanimously voted to pass HB 148, Early Childhood Department Tribal Agreements, which ensures that the youngest Native children can learn in their own language, immersed in their own culture.
Thank you so much for your support of this bill as it made its way through the House and Senate!
